Unless you've been living under a rock for the passed several years, you've at least heard of the Tony Award for Best Musical, Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, and Pulitzer Prize for Drama winning musical Hamilton- An American Musical. Written by the legendary Broadway super star Lin-Manuel Miranda. Hamilton made its Broadway debut in January of 2015. The sound track for the musical is in some ways even more wide spread and acclaimed than the musical itself (Disney+ is actively changing this, with the newly released movie on the streaming service)
But you know what? The musical is great and all, but wheres the Christmas? It's not like they weren't celebrating the joyous holiday during the revolution. Let's take a look at some parodies and re-imaginings of the songs.
Eclipse 6 - Hamildolph (An American Christmas Story)

While re-imagining the classic Christmas tale of Rudolph, Eclipse 6 takes the upbeat and fast paced music from Hamilton. Swapping George Washington for Santa and Alexander Hamilton for Rudolph. We actually spoke to the group back in March of 2020 about this and many other Christmas parodies the group has created, you can read it here.)
3 Ginger Sisters - Satisfied: A Hamilton Christmas Parody
What if Angelica Schuyler was just a regular girl, who was tired of answering the same old questions from grandma, like "Are you dating anyone?" "How's school going?". This parody is a nerdy reference filled Tardis of a song.
Cole Jenkins - Green Eggs and Hamilton
My Name is Sam, Sam I Am. Do you like green eggs and ham? Have a plate.
Wexford Performing Arts - A Hamilton Christmas
Once again we find ourselves looking at the opening song, this time its by some extremely talented kids who look at Santa from the position of Hamilton.
This one isn't a parody, just a crazy light show by a Hamilton fan!
Since 2007, Joe's Amazing Lights has collected more than $100,000 for local and national charities including St. Jude's Children's Hospital, American Cancer Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Guilford Food Bank, Guilford Animal Shelter, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Autism Society & The Epilepsy Foundation. He has been recognized in various newspaper publications (New Haven Register, Shoreline Times and the Guilford Courier) news station coverage (News Channel 8, Fox 61 News, CNN & Good Morning America) and radio stations (Country 92.5FM). Joe decorated for many of the Holidays such as Easter, Fourth of July, Valentines Day, Halloween & Christmas. The Displays consists of 2,000 lights to about 60,000 lights. Joe graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA in 2012 with a BFA in Theater Design Technology.
What's your favorite Hamilton song? What other parodies would you like to see from the Musical? Personally I'd be interested in seeing a Heat Miser inspired You'll Be Back. Share your ideas with us in the comments on our social accounts.
